The Jr Northstars will be athletes who will be attending Waukesha North High School, or are zoned to attend Waukesha North High School (if your family has not decided where your child will be attending High School). This program is a not for profit organization open to all 5-8th grade female volleyball players. Our goal is to prepare them for volleyball at the high school level. Our mission is to develop the love of the game and grow players into great teammates.

FAQs

Can my child play for this program?

If your child is going to Waukesha North for high school, they can play for our league. If your child is going to Waukesha South or North, and are unsure who to contact, please reach out to Megan.

How much does it cost to play?

The 2024 season will cost $300 per player. This cost covers team fees for the league along with insurance for the program for practices, tryouts, and coaches. This will replace the old Badger Region Memberships, saving money for all families!

Which ages and are there “cuts”?

Waukesha Jr Northstars have teams from 5th grade to 8th grade, preparing them to feed into the high school programs. We try not to cut players, and our goal is to allow everyone to play who wants to play! Our teams will play in the Greater Milwaukee Power League. 5th grade player will be divided evenly, while 6-8th grade teams are divided by skill.

When does the season run?

Waukesha Jr Northstars will start practices in early August and practice 2x/week. Matches run from Labor Day until the end of October. 5th and 6th grade will have 2 matches per weekend, and 7th and 8th will have 3 matches per weekend. The league plays at Center Court or Milwaukee Sting Center. Please see the “Greater Milwaukee Power League” page for more information
